As the Swedish Alumni Network Turkey Ankara Chapter, we held an Annual Meeting on 25 st January 2024 at the Swedish Residence in Ankara , where we presented our 2023 activity report and elected our new steering board. We played a multiple choice game about the general information of Sweden, then we got some nice presents from Embassy.

As the Swedish Alumni Network Turkey Ankara Chapter, we held an Annual Meeting on 21 st February 2023 at the Swedish Residence in Ankara , where we presented our 2022 activity report and elected our new steering board.

We would like to announce Election Day 2023, will be on 21st of February 2023 in The Swedish Residence in Ankara between 7pm and 9pm. 

We will select new board members with your votes among new candidates for the coming year and set up an activity plan.

As a certified Alumni Network we hold an annual meeting once a year. It’s a vital cornerstone in an active and inclusive network.

Sweden Alumni Network Turkey Ankara Chapter, courtesy of the Embassy of Sweden in Ankara, hosted us to the screening of “Becoming Astrid”, about the early life of Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren, at the Swedish Residence Ankara.

Yesterday, we hosted "Eco Fika", meaning Swedish Mika plus a discussion forum, with the participation of Ambassador Herrström and spouse Karin and Deputy Louise Morning. At the beginning of meeting, Chairperson of our network Ms. Umut Şener gave a presentation, and shared best practices related to organic and sustainable food from Sweden.

During the event, we handed out to quiz cards to initiate discussions about the importance of organic farming and how such a small thing as a fika can make a big difference. Alumni enjoyed the wonderfully tasty Swedish Fika while discussing our choice of food and its effects on our climate and environment.

We believe that Eco Fika day inspires people to live more sustainably. A big thank you Swedish Institute for supporting us.
